The sun is not the origin of light. Jehoshua Messiah YHWH (Jesus Christ the Lord) is the original light which kindles all of our universe instantly no matter how distant the elements of the universe. Our universe was not illuminated at the constraint of the speed of the light from the sun. Jesus illuminated our universe in an instant.
In fact, Jesus will be the source of light in the brand-new world to come.
Revelation 22:5 ASV
(5) And there shall be night no more; and they need no light of lamp, neither light of sun; for the Lord God shall give them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
Just overcome Satan to be there to witness it (Revelation 3:21).
